Russia-Ukraine War: The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for a long time, but now this war has taken a new turn. The US has allowed Ukraine to use US long-range missiles on various military targets inside Russia. On the other hand, China on Monday (November 18) reiterated its appeal for a peaceful solution to the Russia-Ukraine war.
China’s Foreign Ministry said this
“An early ceasefire and a political solution are in everyone’s interests,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said during a regular briefing. “The most important thing right now is to defuse the situation as soon as possible,” he added.
China is showing itself as ‘ neutral ‘ in this war
China presents itself as a neutral party in the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, saying it is neither sending lethal weapons to any side nor providing military aid like Western countries and the US. However, China remains a very close political and economic ally of Russia, and NATO countries have described Beijing as a “decisive supporter” of the war, which no one can condemn.
China tried for a peaceful solution
China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson said on Monday (18 November) that China has always supported all measures for a peaceful solution to the crisis. During this Ukraine crisis, Beijing is ready to play its constructive role in a political solution in its own way.
EU report denied
Lin also denied reports that EU officials had found evidence that Russian drones used in war were being manufactured in China. He said China has never provided lethal weapons to any country during war and has controlled military and dual drones in accordance with laws and regulations from the beginning.
Denying the allegations levelled against China, he said, ‘It is expected that the concerned countries and individuals should not make any assumptions against China without any facts and evidenc
