Tesla Model Y: American electric car manufacturer Tesla has launched its first showroom in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has inaugurated this first showroom of Tesla. The price of the cars has been revealed on the company’s official website.

The company has officially launched the new electric car Model Y for sale today with the launch of its first showroom at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai. Its starting price has been fixed at Rs 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The company has introduced this car in two different variants.
Booking started in these cities
Tesla has also started official booking of this electric car. It can be booked through the company’s official website and the Tesla Experience Center in Mumbai. Customers are being given the option of card and UPI payment for online booking. Currently, booking of this car has been started for Mumbai, Delhi and Gurugram.
How to make booking
For online booking of Tesla Model Y, customers will have to visit the company’s official website. Here you will see a globe icon on the right side, by clicking on which you will have to select India. After this, you will have to choose one of the variants of the car (Real Wheel Drive and Long Range). After choosing the variant, the customer will have to book the car through the payment gateway by entering details like name, address and PAN card etc
CM Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated it
This Tesla showroom was inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. On this occasion, Fadnavis invited Tesla to start manufacturing in India. Fadnavis said that our policy is good for manufacturing electric cars and creating charging infrastructure. Apart from this, we are encouraging manufacturing. This is a good start, we want to see research and development (R&D) manufacturing in India. He said that I am sure that Tesla will think about this at the right time.
The price of the car has been revealed on the company’s official website. The company has fixed the starting price of this car at Rs 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). This car will be launched in the market with real wheel drive and long range variants.
Tesla Model Y Price
According to the company’s official website, booking of Model Y has been started for Mumbai, Delhi and Gurugram. In Mumbai, the on-road price of its entry level model rear wheel drive variant will be Rs 61,07,190, which includes Rs 2,92,818 GST. At the same time, the on-road price of its long range variant will be Rs 69,15,190, which includes Rs 3,30,913 GST. According to the official website, customers will have to pay Rs 6 lakh separately for the Full-Self Driving (FSD) variant.

How is Tesla Model Y:
The rear wheel drive variant of the Tesla Model Y is being offered in the Indian market with two different battery packs (60 kWh and a larger 75 kWh battery pack). Its RWD variant has a single electric motor, which generates power of about 295 hp. Apart from this, the 60 kWh battery gives a driving range (WLTP certified) of 500 km on a single charge. While the long range variant gives a driving range of 622 km
In India, the Tesla Model Y will be available with a total of 7 different exterior color options and 2 interior trims. Speed and Charging:
The company claims that the rear wheel drive version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, while the long range version takes 5.6 seconds to cover the same distance. The battery of this car will be charged in just 15 minutes with a supercharger and you will get a driving range of approximately 238 km to 267 km.
Tesla is much more expensive than other countries
The starting price of Tesla Model Y in the US is $44,990 (about Rs 38.63 lakh), 263,500 Yuan (about Rs 31.57 lakh) in China and 45,970 Euro (about Rs 46.09 lakh) in Germany. Whereas in the Indian market, its starting price is around Rs 60 lakh. In this respect, this car is quite expensive here compared to other countries
